Basically we have a large raid box that will support 2 simultaneous
host channels. This is what we're using for redundancy on our
file servers.

I really didn't think I would need that many linux directors. Hmm...
also, DNS RR seems fine, but that will only load balance between the
linux director machine, but we're not so much worried about that, as we
are the Linux Director box dying and killing our connections. It's
our single point of failure in this configuration.

The algorithm I planned on using was weight least connection. Basically
the least connection is most important, but I figured I'd use the weighted
least connection just to give a little flexibility incase we have to
through something into the mix that's, well, slower.

The amount of Linux Directors you suggest is something I was unaware of.

Actually, heh, we're starting out small, only two machines for web servers
to begin with, but I had hoped it would last to the capacity of 200
some server. We could easily be up to that amount in about 5 - 6 months.

I have not tried fake. It seems to be everyone's choice for the free
stuff. I was initially going to try RSF-1. I'm not at that point yet.
Just got the raid box in today. It's nice :-)
