Hey Phil,
        The files you gave me went in fine and I have the source code for
the e1000 gigabit NIC. I've got everything compiled and all the devices
all come up like they are supposed to. BUT, now the problem is is that
/etc/rc.d/init.d/pulse will not run! When i look in the logs I get 

pulse: SIOCGIFADDR failed: Can not assign requested address
pulse: pulse startup failed

The only thing I can think of is that pulse is trying to assign the IPs
itself, which it can NOT do since /etc/rc.d/init.d/network does that.
I can't figure out how to fix this problem. Any ideas?
