For example, say someone gives a request for:

https://www.mydomain.com/mydirectory

The webserver will then send a 301 "Moved Permanently" redirect to:

http://www.mydomain.com/mydirectory/

UseCanonicalName changes how Apache determines what hostname to send back to
the user when it sends that redirect.
