Hi All,

I've finally got everything installed and running seemingly correctly
with a
kernel-2.4.2 and LVS patches version 0.2.7.

But now I get the following on boot, which looks like the IPVS drivers
are being initialised OK:

IPv4 over IPv4 tunneling driver
Linux IP multicast router 0.06 plus PIM-SM
ip_conntrack (2047 buckets, 16376 max)
ip_tables: (c)2000 Netfilter core team
NET4: Unix domain sockets 1.0/SMP for Linux NET4.0.
IPv6 v0.8 for NET4.0
IPv6 over IPv4 tunneling driver
ip6_tables: (c)2000 Netfilter core team
registreing ipv6 mark target
IPVS: Connection hash table configured (size=4096, memory=32Kbytes)
IPVS: Each connection entry needs 116 bytes at least
IPVS: ipvs loaded.
IPVS: [rr] scheduler registered.
IPVS: [wrr] scheduler registered.
IPVS: [lc] scheduler registered.
IPVS: [wlc] scheduler registered.
IPVS: [lblc] scheduler registered.
IPVS: [lblcr] scheduler registered.
ds: no socket drivers loaded!
VFS: Mounted root (ext2 filesystem) readonly.
Freeing unused kernel memory: 228k freed
Adding Swap: 265032k swap-space (priority -1)
eth0: no IPv6 routers present

Then when I use RedHat's 'python' system and the 'ipvsadm' command
bundled with it,
all I get is:

[root@ct1 /root]# ipvsadm -L
Could not open /proc/net/ip_masq/vs
Are you sure that Virtual Server is supported by the kernel?
[root@ct1 /root]#

And I've confirmed that the /proc/net/ip_masq directory is missing, so
it's probably not ipvsadm going
lunatic, so now I'm stuck again.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, but could someone give me a helping
hand here (again :( )?

Oh, as regards my .config, everything under the "Netfilter" section is
compiled in the kernel, for both IPV4 and IPV6
(I had at first only compiled IPV4, so I included IPV6 too, just in case
that was confusing the code..), and the IPVS
section (which only appears once in "make menuconfig") is all set to be
included in the kernel too.

Yours,

Kev.
