We successfuly use mergelog (you can find on freshmeat or SourceForge) for merging logs (gz or not) from our cluster nodes.

With use a simple perl script for downloading them to a single machine.

It's a quick and not so dirty way to do that job ;-) it's also the only one that we've found !
