if it gets too complex using an internal card, you can use something like
Intel's 7110 or 7115 'bridge-like' devices.  they have no IP address and
would sit in front of your LVS box (if using NAT) ...

(pretty cheap and very simple to integrate)

then again maybe you already have hardware and don't have the budget :)
