retry: ktcpvs configuration problems

I sent email out on a ktcpvs config issue originally out on 6/30 and
haven't heard boo since.   Is there a reason?  Did I forget to offering
for the usenet oracle?

The short version is that a single director with ktcpvs doesn't spread
the load across several real servers AND it corrupts results with some
great frequency.
