changing the weights or doing ipvsadm -C only sets ipvsadm for new connections.
If you have any connections open to RIP1, they will keep the old timeout values.

If the old timeout value is being maintained and you have no connections,
then other people here will have to help you.

Persistence is not well suited to connections requiring long timeouts because
of the amount of memory you'll need. It's better
to rewrite your application.
