The Red Hat solution is clumanager, available for the Red Hat Enterprice Linux 2.1 and 3 Advanced Server releases. It requires a shared storage device, which can be a bit expensive.

Sistina (recently acquired by Red Hat) provides GFS, which can also be used as an HA shared filesystem.
