Allan,
LVS isn't really constrained by CPU or even I/O for that matter on modern hardware. CPU usage is near zero on several fanless EPIA based (500Mhz) load balancers I've used.

Is anyone running a LVS Director on an AMD Opteron or Intel Itanium
processor and if so how is the performance compared their 32-bit cousins?
I am considering replacing my aging Foundry device with an LVS Director.
Since I work for a hosting company, and this change could affect many
customers, I want to make sure this is the right move. I ask about the
64-bit procs to see if there is a performance gain and if so, is it worth
the added costs.

Thanks,

Allan
