In that case the routers for that subnet see a packet with a src address that is internal coming in on the external interface and drop it as a spoofed packet(as they should).


rules to drop packets are to help you.
If you don't want to drop a packet from the VIP then don't drop it.


We don't have control of the routers between the two locations.
