The problem is that I'm an idiot :-)  The firewall had cached an ARP
entry from my first flubbed attempt :-)  I hadn't immediately thought of
that since I was testing from another host in that cabinet, forgetting
that my cluster was in the DMZ and the client was on the secure
interface :-)

It's working like a champ!  All I need to do is take a deep breath and
configure the production servers, and hope I've got all of the
boneheadedness out of my system!
