Hello,

I reconfigured my servers from scratch. Now I'm getting "Connection refused"
from the Linux Director when doing a telnet to the VIP

as expected, there's nothing listening on VIP:80 on the director.

and "No route to host" when doing a telnet from the client.

this has always been a networking problem, the packets can't get to the realserver, but icmp packets are getting back to the client.

Running tcpdump -i any port 80 on the Director shows incoming connections:

13:03:01.069383 IP 211.248.223.87.dynamic.jazztel.es.4490 >
87-98-225-39.ovh.net.http: S 344934619:344934619(0) win 65535 <mss
1460,nop,nop,sackOK>

anything outgoing?

Running tcpdump -i any port 80 on the Real Server 1 shows no connections are
being received.

So I guess there is some type of problem with the director routing the
connection to the Real Sever.

yes

You still haven't done the setup in the mini-HOWTO
