You will probably want the following in your sysctrl.conf file:
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/vs/expire_quiescent_template
echo 1 > /proc/sys/net/ipv4/vs/expire_nodest_conn



I can't find clear documentation on these files.  It looks like they will help 
with the problem of a persistent client trying to connect to a down server.  
Can anyone clarify exactly what these settings do, or feel free to point me to 
where its documented.
