we're developing a web farm and want to be able to distribute customer
databases across a set of mysql real-servers. If we remove a mysql
real-server for some reason, it's just a matter of redirecting those
mysql databases among the remaining machines. Likewise, if we add a
new mysql real-server, we can re-balance the redirects across all
available machines instead of having N-1 being busy and 1 more-or-less
unused...
