How do it balance 3 squid servers ???

i am thinking of using 2 or 3 squid servers for our internel users (about 1000 
users) . 
then a come across LVS and this is my questions.
1. How to i set up the network to use the LVS to balance 3 squids . please give 
a 
network chat.
2. what else do it need beside recompile the kernel.
3. what kind of performance will i get after setting it up.
