That sounds quite serious. The kernel in Ultra Monke 1.0.1 is very
similar to that shipped with VA Linux 6.2.1. What hardware are you
running on? More specifically what network interfaces are on the machine?
When you say the network can't be activated what is the mode of failure.
Does "ifup eth0" return an error message? If so are there any
errors in the kernel logs.
