it's in the performance article on the Documentation page.
The documentation isn't super well organised, since we're doing this on
our own nickel. New things are added to LVS faster than we can document
them, so the documents are always going to be a shambles I'm afraid.

yes. Nothing special is needed for this. It's already part of the way LVS
