NIS and NFS ?

Hello, I have seen that with LVS we can "partage" the requete http, ftp
on several server. Can we do the same with NIS and NFS requete ???

I would like made a cluster of PC in order to share the charge of NIS
and NFS requete of clients Pc. It is possible with LVS ??

What is the LVS' s principle of operation ? What "protocole" can we
"partage" ???
