I would just like to comment on the birth of this new acronym. I agree
entirely with the concept, but don't like the choice. Here's why:
It is a corollary to the RAID acronym, of course, with only the last letter
changed.
What is the corollary to "D" or Disk in RAID? I think an easier, more
accessible, parallel is "C" for Computer.
Hence: RAIC (pronounced "Rake"). Giving rise to the idea of several groves
cut in the ground at the same time in parallel... Rail, on the other hand,
brings to mind only two rails (of a train track) side-by-side.
Anyway, just a thought... you can have this term too...
