I looked at the output you sent me from the configure scripts.
The script doesn't scream ERROR here (it will for the next version)
but doesn't it seem a little suspicious that the director
can't reach the real-server?
checking realserver 10.1.1.2 reachable from director - ICMP Host Unreachable
from 10.1.1.1 for ICMP Echo sent to 10.1.1.2
ICMP Host Unreachable from 10.1.1.1 for ICMP Echo sent to 10.1.1.2
ICMP Host Unreachable from 10.1.1.1 for ICMP Echo sent to 10.1.1.2
10.1.1.2 is unreachable
director starting in ON state
checking realserver 10.1.1.3 reachable from director - ICMP Host Unreachable
from 10.1.1.1 for ICMP Echo sent to 10.1.1.3
ICMP Host Unreachable from 10.1.1.1 for ICMP Echo sent to 10.1.1.3
ICMP Host Unreachable from 10.1.1.1 for ICMP Echo sent to 10.1.1.3
10.1.1.3 is unreachable
director starting in ON state
since your LVS isn't working this output on the realserver
is worth looking at.
Warning: You haven't set "$router_forwards"
in the User configurable section of configure.pl,
so we don't know if the VIP should be pingable or not.
This ping test is just extra checking and the LVS
will work whether or not this ping test is properly setup.
If this test is properly setup and fails,
it will help diagnose problems with your LVS.
Warnings: 1
The configure script has encountered an unexpected situation.
Your LVS will probably run (it may not do what you want).
It would be reasonable to try your LVS first,
since it will likely work at least partially.
