Firewall on LVS?

Hi!

I was wondering it's possible to run a firewall 
(like ipchains) at a LVS NAT director.

In my setup i have 2 NAT directors. And a hartbeat on the
outside (internet).

Is it possible to have a hartbeat on the inside and
turn off the external netcards when the director is
"sleeping as backup"?
I only want one IP on the net (not three)..
