Then maybe you could lower the healthchecking time. A note to the
piranha developers, if this is really the case. You should make
the application as open as possible, allowing 3rd party users to
hook healthchecking functions on their wish. You define the API,
consisting of how the healthcheck should be performed and what
you expect as return value to proceed with further analysis. Like
this Mario could hook for example a simple SSL healthchecker like
http_get and would not suffer from annoying error logs.

Do that but I cannot imagine that his functionality really isn't
built in piranha.
