The first time you run the rc.lvs file?

If so please send the output of 

$sh -x rc.lvs >rc.lvs_out 2>&1 

to me _offline_  to mailto:mack@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

there's some general derangement going on. I can't tell what's going on
from this, I'm afraid. Let's see if I get any hints from the output first.
