I'm running 2.4.12
Thanks for all your files, output etc.
The problem appears to be that our ifconfig commands have different
outputs and my script bombs on your ifconfig output. My ifconfig was
built from net-tools-1.60.tar.gz (from about Jun 2001). If I have
IPs on eth0, eth0:69 and eth1, my `ifconfig -a` will give separate
paragraphs/sections for each of these devices, ie 3 sections. Your
ifconfig output only lists eth0 and eth1 (and lo) when you
have eth0:69 as an alias.
Unfortunately ifconfig doesn't give any version info so I can't test
which version of ifconfig is running.
What can you tell me about your ifconfig and why you aren't listing
eth0:69?
