I do agree with you on the lack of need for load with LDAP.  See our LDAP servers are also Domino Application servers in a Domino Cluster with a LVS to load balance http traffic. Currently we use round robin DNS to create "high availability" for LDAP to this cluster.  It would just be nice to incorporate LDAP in the LVS>

Well, that's kinda how our LDAP is working. The idea is that LDAP is not
about performance but availability. And LDAP just happen to have such a
feature. No?

But I guess you knew that already ;)

Nevertheless, no clue about why it doesn't work with LVS.
