Thanks! I must have read too much into the script's documentation.
Either that, or the script I found wasn't the one I was meant to find. I
was using this:

 http://www.tjhsst.edu/~bconglet/techlab/load/lvs/configure/virtualserver.alert

Which I've just rewritten :-)

I couldn't find it anywhere else. The first thing this one does is check
the kernel version, so I assumed it was kernel-dependent.
