When you run ipvsadm with no flags and get this -

IP Virtual Server version 0.8.1 (size=65536)
Prot LocalAddress:Port Scheduler Flags
  -> RemoteAddress:Port             Forward Weight ActiveConn InActConn
TCP  x.x.x.x:http rr
  -> 192.168.1.211:http             Masq    1      9          21
  -> 192.168.1.212:http             Masq    1      9          29
  -> 192.168.1.213:http             Masq    1      10         27
  -> 192.168.1.214:http             Masq    1      13         24

I was wondering if someone could give me a good explanation of the meaning of ActiveConn and InActConn and the differences

What I have been able to come up with is this :

ActiveConn = Active Hits on the VIP for the past 10 secs
InActConn = Hits that were once Active after 10 secs get expired to InActConn for 10 secs

I'm not sure if I am accurate or explaining my thoughts correctly, but if someone could point me in the right direction in the manual / provide an explanation I would really appriciate it!

I checked the docs but I couldn't find an answer for this.. I found a lot more higher level stuff.. But nothing specific to this.

Thanks,
-ed
