howto create sockets in kernel?

Hello

I am working on a graduation project to create a linux
virtual server with tcp connection switching. I plan
to implement varied alogrithms for balancing the load,
and measure their performance... I am stuck at
implementaion.. I cant open a socket connection in an
kernel module.. can anyone help me with this??
