Hi,
Probably a FAQ, but havent found anything on the subject so here goes....
There's not much about it.
Have any of you been using the noarp module (www.masarlabs.com/noarp) ? I
I haven't used it because I either use the hidden or the policy routing
approach.
have tried it on a test server and it seemes to work as expected, but I
would like to know if anybody uses it before I put it into production.
I'm sure some have.
Up untill now we have been using the hidden patch (by Julian) but would
really like to be able to use standard kernels.
How can you call your kernel with an active LKM a standard kernel? And
don't you have to recompile the module too? So what's the difference
between compiling the kernel and that module? Also note I for example do
not have any compilers on my nodes, either LB or RS.
If you really do not want to touch anything around the kernel, you
should probably try out one of the lesser suggested methods using
iproute2 to blackhole the VIP.

Check section 3: The policy routing approach.
