Hello,
I'm going to be working with a bunch of Solaris 9 boxes in the
near future, and I would like to add them to my existing LVS cluster. Does
anyone have information on what/how Solaris 9 can be used as the Real
Servers in an LVS-DR cluster? On linux, I implement the hidden-arp patch.
How is this accomplished on Solaris boxen?

Solaris doesn't have this issue ;).

There used to be an entry in the LVS-Howto but I'm completely unable to find it. Since the txt version also doesn't seem to be available online anymore, one is also unable to grep for strings in it.

So to make it short:

ifconfig lo0:1 <VIP> netmask 255.255.255.255 up

and that's it. It will work as Solaris doesn't do arp replies for loopback devices. Other than that you will find a plethora of information regarding Solaris as RS while skimming through the lvs-ml archives (link is on homepage)
