What exactly does the Antefacto patch do?

If you'd like, I can add the sysctl var for the Antefacto ident this
weekend.  Send me a private email to jcobync@xxxxxxxxx (not this email
address -- I don't check it from home) if interested.  I've been looking for
a C or C++ project to work with in my spare time that won't take huge
amounts of my spare time.  I do full time php/sql/html/javascript
programming; in moderation C and C++ are a fun break for me.
