I don't think tcpdump sees the packets for the VIP on the
realserver (not real sure). The packets are accepted by
lo and tcpdump doesn't see them.
is the client connecting? ie do you get the login prompt
of the realserver?

how did you do this? turn off hiding for the VIP on the realserver?
