Network Storage on a Virtual Server Setup

Hello all,
 
I am looking strongly at using the virtual server platform to host my
website www.nolimitssolutions.com <http://www.nolimitssolutions.com/> .
Also, I am wanting to incorporate the design into some of my solutions.
I have a question.  
 
Is it possible to have all the servers in the virtual server setup use
the same storage media, such as an external  RAID box or such.?  Or, do
all the servers in the group have to mirror each other in terms of
storage?
