How to setup RedHat 7.2 to be real server

I have setup the RedHat 9.0 to be a real server of ipvs OK. But I
don't how to setup the RedHat 7.2 to be another real server:
1. Do I need to modify kernel of RedHat(2.4.7)? How to do?
2. Is RedHat 7.2 same installation procedure as RedHat 9.0?

Where I can get the detailed procedure of installation?
