I would prefer an intel 100 megabit to a 3c905b anyday. But if you are pushing < 20mb/s, it doesn't matter much. 3c905x isn't bad. If you need big bandwidth, besides intel gigabit you can check out tg3 cards from Broadcom. These will push you into > 800 megabit/s territory with work. But uhm.. be careful on which version of tg3 you use ;-). Regards, P |
