Please check your timeout setting for TCP connection in IPVS by "ipvsadm
-L --timeout".

I changed to 2.6.7 and it started working...

Does default timeout setting differ in 2.4.x (28) and 2.6.x (7) ?

The timeout setting for TCP sessions, TCP sessions after receiving a FIN packet, and UDP packets is the same both in the kernel 2.4 and 2.6.

If it does i ask why?
If it does not, it's a bug in LVS for 2.4.x

I am not sure that it is a bug in LVS for 2.4, because we haven't touched the code for service lookup and connection lookup for a while, and this segment of code is frequently executed. If it were a real bug, a lot of people would hit this problem too.

Could you please collect more information while running LVS for 2.4.x?

Thanks,

Wensong
