hello sir,
I am using MON for detecting failures of two real
servers(Through LVS).First I want to check it on one
server independently of LVS.I had installed the
required perl modules for mon-0.99.2 .I had installed
fping-2.2b1.Then I edited /etc/mon/mon.cf ( and made
sure that all the monitors/alerts except for
fping.monitor and test.alert are commented out (there
is an alert/upalert pair for each alert,both
uncommented for test.alert).Then I started mon with
./S99mon start, But it is showing following messages
in /var/log/messages:-Jan 27 05:14:54 DUPLICATE
mon[1656]: calling alert test.alert for LVS/fping
(/usr/lib/mon/alert.d/test.alert,) could not open pipe
to fping: No such file or directory
Also I wanted to tell you that the output of
/tmp/test.alert.log is:-Thu Jan 27 06:27:13 IST 2005
-s fping -g LVS -h 10.11.151.99 -t 1106787433
But actually the machine(10.11.151.99) is pingable manually.
