there was a lot of detail in the first part of the post whose relevance
wasn't obvious. So I may not have got what you're interested in, but
here goes.
From this last para, I assume that the realservers are pointing to
an IP which is the DIP (and you've forward_shared patched the director).
The whole point of the DIP is to have it move on director failover.
The DIP isn't neccessarily the primary IP of the NIC.
Of course I can't configure 66.77.170.1 on both LVS routers.
but you can move it on failover.
