ldirectord stop doesnt not work on free bsd

Hi,
  I am trying out ldirectord on a free bsd  server.
The problem is when I issue ldirectord stop the ipvsadm table is not
cleared
when I do a ps I can still see the ldirectord process running

How do I debug further ??
