Hello, all -
First I'd like to take a minute to thank every last one of you guys for
the help that you've given me over the past few weeks. It's been a
great learning experience.
I'm getting more and more familiar with LVS, as far as the software is
concerned. Now I'm starting to look ahead, and hopefully map out my
logical and physical network configuration.
What I envision is a system which is completely redundant. I'm thinking
about bringing in a pipe through a router, whch would provide the first
level of failover to two different LVS directors. The directors would
then be connected to a dedicated switch, which would in effect act as
the primary network connection to my realservers. Each realserver would
have a secondary NIC, as well, where Director 2 would play the exact
same role as Director1 - but would just provide failover.
What I'd like to know is, if I'm on the right track here. I'm new to
load balancing and distribution in general, and can only hope that I
have the right idea.
Any feedback, positive or negative, is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
