Subject: A REXX script to detect and autologon a Linux guest

I thought someone had a REXX script to detect the status of a Linux
guest and if it down, autolog the guest. Am I imagining?
Last Sunday I worked on a problem and I had to log into the console of a
Linux guest. After the problem was solved, I left my PC to do something
else. The network disconnected and the guest got promptly logged off. I
did not know this until our operators called me, about an hour later.
Embarrassing, to say the least.
There has to be some way to tell CP that it is dealing with a multi-user
operating system, not a human. Anyway, I had a discussion about this on
this mailing list a while ago.
Does any one know of this 'imaginary' script that I am dreaming about?
Thanks
