I don't expect there'll be much difference between 1
realserver and 20 realservers. The director does a lookup
and then does a header rewrite. I expect the table lookup
will be quick. I would expect the real problem is whether
you can keep the NICs facing the internet and the
realservers saturated. If you can do that, I don't think LVS
will slow down throughput much.
Of course this is all speculation I'm afraid and not
measurement.
