I reconfigured my servers from scratch. Now I'm getting "Connection refused"
from the Linux Director when doing a telnet to the VIP
as expected, there's nothing listening on VIP:80 on the
director.
and "No route to host" when doing a telnet from the
client.
this has always been a networking problem, the packets can't
get to the realserver, but icmp packets are getting back
to the client.
Running tcpdump -i any port 80 on the Director
shows incoming connections:

anything outgoing?
Running tcpdump -i any port 80 on the Real Server 1 shows no connections are
being received.
So I guess there is some type of problem with the director routing the
connection to the Real Sever.
