For starters, you haven't provided us with anywhere near enough
information about what you are doing:
1. How many directors?
2. What software are you running to manage IPVS?
3. How many realservers?
4. What software are you running (one would assume CommuniGate Pro now)?
It *is* possible to use stateful rules with netfilter on a director, but
it depends on what you want to achieve. You can start by telling us what
virtual services you have on the director, and what iptables rules
you're trying to deploy. Then, and only then, might someone be able to
help.
