Let me say it again: it won't.
The client connects to the VIP. If the realserver responds from its' own
IP address, then the client connection will fail. The realserver is
configured with the VIP, and the packet path for DR is as follows:
Client sends packet to VIP. It hits the director. Director routes packet
to VIP on a realserver. Realserver responds from VIP to client.
That's it. The realserver *is* responding directly BUT it responds from
the VIP, not its' own IP address.
