First, I apologize if I missed this in the documentation.
Is there a way for the following scenario to work?
SERVER1 SERVER2
| |
|-----------|
|
|
Load Balancer
|
|
Outside Users
SERVER1 and SERVER2 are FTP servers. Outside Users get the benefit of
load balancing. They can FTP to the VIP of the Load Balancer and it gets
redirected to SERVER1 or SERVER2 according to a wlc algorithm. That part
is working fine.
BUT... can users logged into SERVER1 or SERVER2 on the "inside" do the
same thing? I've tried this, but when a user on SERVER1 or SERVER2
connects to the VIP of the load balancer, the connection times out. It
doesn't want to forward packets back out the same interface they arrived
on. I know this is a common problem with all kinds of internetworking
equipment, but I'm hoping there has been some development in the LVS
world that will allow this.
