So in conjunction with:

This means that the realserver isn't reachable on port 80 from the
director. On the director, do this:
( echo "GET / HTTP/1.0" && echo ) | nc 192.168.1.10 80
That should output a raw web page. If it doesn't, then something is
preventing the director connecting to the realserver's webserver
application.
You may have a firewall rule in place on the realserver which causes
this.
