Hi Simon,

That's what I try and do.
I edit the /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-lo:0 file and add the VIP
(174.121.60.28) as the IP address.

DEVICE=lo:0
IPADDR=174.121.60.28
NETMASK=255.255.255.248
ONBOOT=yes
NAME=loopback

This results in a fault. I have been told by the hosting company that I
cannot use 174.121.60.28 in a loopback interface as that is an IP in the
'class b public IP address range'

Should there be a restriction like that?

Kind regards,

Cyrus

Have you added the VIP, with netmask 255.255.255.255 to the loopback
device? This should be done before starting heartbeat.
