Hi,

ipvsadm exists in the Ubuntu repository. You'll get answers for your
questions about configuration in the LVS-HOWTO at
http://www.austintek.com/LVS/LVS-HOWTO/HOWTO/

IPVS is built as a module of the kernel and your server has
linux-image package installed... likely.
